Carbon Neutrality
Robert Bosch Ltda
According to the United Nations (UN), climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time, with impacts that can affect everything from food production to sea level. With the aim of contributing to social well-being and environmental quality, Bosch has challenging corporate projects and objectives related to climate protection, including the minimization of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. In 2019, an ambitious challenge was launched by the world’s Top emissions from its 400 units around the world, which was possible as early as 2020. To achieve carbon neutrality, we have different initiatives (including those related to the FM areas), based on the Scopes 1 and 2 adopted by the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol) and ISO 14.064, such as: energy efficiency; purchase of green energy; self-generation of renewable energy; off-setting emissions; and communication of sustainability issues. The focus of this project is on the actions carried out in Latin America (LA), which led us to good results with positive environmental impacts in concomitance with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
